He Wrote Me A Letter,
To Scared For Face-To-Face.
He Said It Would Be Greater,
If He Left Without A Trace.

He Wrote Me A Letter,
Not Telling Me In Person.
He Said That He Hoped,
I Didn't Think Him The Worst Man.

He Wrote Me A Letter,
Saying He Was Sorry.
He Said He Was Safe,
And Not For Me To Worry.

He Wrote Me A Letter,
He Broke My Heart.
He Said We Weren Never Going To Work,
Right From The Start.
