The storm

[Amethyst]

Wind that knocks upon your door,
Waves that crash upon the shore,
The lightning strikes,
The thunder rolls,
Leaving no safe power poles,

Crashing, bashing everywhere,
Raging through the still night air,
Stopping briefly letting go,
Before continuing with the show,

For then it starts its final piece,
To make you hide beneath the sheets,
The gentle breeze now becomes the gale,
The pattering rain is giant hail,

But it slowly ends its reign of terror,
The rumbling that went on forever,
But as it leaves you to the silent night,
To give even more of a fright.
